You could say there's been a bit of a buzz around 80s Casual Classics this year. With the recent launch of our Glasgow store & working on wardrobe once again with Nick Love
for his forthcoming film, Marching Powder, as well as the BBC 2 Tone series 'This Town' which is set to air on your TV screens in April 2024. Alongside the new stores and subculture shows we're also really pleased to announce the launch of our exclusive trainer with the Italian stallions, Diadora. Before we get into that rather striking turquoise colourway lets talk a bit about the inspiration. Utilising the Magic Basket Low silhouette which is a classic court shoe from the 1980s, the exclusive release draws inspiration from the golden era of Borg and the iconic Borg Elite trainer. The Magic Basket trainer is an OG court trainer from the mid 1980s that was recently reived from the Diadora archives. Putting an added retro spin on the classic court style, we've put a classic Borg Elite spin on the Magic Basket merging together the two 80s court icons.

Drawing inspiration from the legendary Borg Elite trainer from 1981 the ground breaking tennis silhouette was famously endorsed by the Swedish tennis legend, Bjorn Borg. Featuring state of the art trainer tech from the early 1980s, the Made in Italy court trainer was one of the most expensive trainers available on the trainer market at the time. It's expensive price tag & premium materials would create one of the most sought after trainers of the era with many OG Casuals still citing the trainer as one of the all time greats.

This latest exclusive with the legendary Italian sportswear brand Diadora sees an Elite inspired spin on the MB (Magic Basket) trainer. Featuring waxed leather uppers in white for that all important retro 80s look with perforations to the toe vamp & sidewalls. Other highlights include Diadora vector branding to the sidewalls in a stand out turquoise colourway & Diadora branding to the all white midsole. The fresh re-worked model is now available exclusively from 80s Casual Classics.
