We're back with more 80s footwear nostalgia courtesy of the Patrick Monaco trainer which now arrives at its spiritual home in some leisurely colourways.
3 years might have passed since we brought back that classic cagoule back in 2022 with a global re-launch of Patrick but the brand's popularity at 80s Casual Classics doesn't look like its slowing down anytime soon. Tapping into the whole "casual" nostalgia of cagoules and classics 80s creps, the re-launch of Patrick has been absolutely huge and probably up there as one of our biggest brand revivals to date. The
revival release of the cagoule was closely followed by the footwear side of things with the re-launch of the Villan, the Liverpool, the Copenhagen & the Rio, all of which have gone down an absolute storm with the originals wearers as well as the new generation of "casual" trainer fans. We can now unveil the launch of another exclusive Patrick silhouette with the Monaco trainer which now arrives at 80s Casual Classics in some leisurely colourways.

If you grew up in the early 1980s and liked a kick about down the local park then the chances are you will have probably owned a pair, or desperately wanted a pair, of Patrick football boots. Simply put, every 80s kid wanted a bit of Patrick on their feet and it didn't really matter if the soles were studded or gum soled. Whether you grew up in Liverpool, Leeds, Leicester or London, Patrick's football boots and football trainers really were the talk of the playground. Thanks to endorsement deals with the legendary England striker, Kevin Keegan, Patrick was arguably one of the biggest football brands of the 1980s.

Featuring brushed suede uppers in the likes of camel brown & olive, the Patrick Monaco trainer gives a nod to the leisurely suede styles of the 1970s & 1980s. Taking its name from the sovereign city-state on the French Riviera which the likes of Bjorn Borg use to call him with his lavish pent house & Ferrari's, the Monaco is Patrick's very own spin on the classic gum-soled silhouette. Other highlights include tonal stripes to the side walls, t-toe detailing to the front & Monaco branding in gold foiling to the lateral sides. Finished off with all the important rubber gum sole underfoot the Monaco is now available to pre-order from 80s Casual Classics via the links.
