If there was one gig music fans wanted a ticket for in 1996 it was Knebworth with 2.5 million people applying for tickets in total. With a near 7000 people just on the guest alone with backstage BBQ's and a crew of around 3000 to set up the stage, Knebworth was nothing quite like anything the Herefordshire countryside had ever seen before. The show even it had its own radio station with guest guitar appearances from John Squire & Oasis branded binoculars for VIP's for the ultimate celebration of the 'rock 'n' roll' stars and their biggest pay cheque so far. Marking the pinnacle of Oasis mania just after the Euro 96 Summer of 'It's Coming Home', Knebworth marked a one in a generation music event.
