With its tagline "Military inspired technical apparel & outerwear", the Basildon based brand MA.STRUM couldn't really describe themselves any better if they tried. Founded back in 2008 by John Sharpe as a partnership with the Massimo Osti Archive, MA.STRUM quickly gained
the attention of the casual elite for its unique take on garment research & engineering. Focusing on military inspired technical outerwear & unique dyeing techniques, MA.STRUM gave us a new dimension of the original Osti aesthetic. Even though the brand is now completely independent from the Massimo Osti Archive, the Osti inspiration is still clearly alive & kicking. Since its origins back in the late noughties, the MA.STRUM overshirt has become a staple within the technical brand's bi-annual collections. MA. STRUM draws on everything we love from the original Osti designs of the 80s and 90s, from military influences to technical fabrics and the latest garment innovation. As well as re-releasing classic 80s designer casual brands such as Boneville, the British based brand has gained a loyal following from those in the know for their military inspired silhouettes, state of the art fabrics and updated styles which are introduced each season. Now under the creative direction of Mohsin Ali who has worked in various designs roles from New York to Italy, Ali's research and design background with his strong belief in the 3 F's (Form, Function & Fabric) marks the next chapter for the British designer brand. Merging sportswear, performance & military inspired designs with the classic Osti aesthetic MA.STRUM continue to pave the way in technical apparel.
