Don't Stop The Music: The Fila Terrinda Returns in Classic White
The Fila Terrinda now lands at 80s Casual Classics in the classic white colourway as famously featured in the cult classic film from Nick Love.
'Don't you stop it, don't you stop, don't stop the music'. Yarbrough & Peoples classic electro-funk track from 1980 did a pretty damn good job of introducing the Fila Terrinda in Nick Love's The Firm from 2009. The iconic nightclub scene not only captured the post-disco sounds of the early 80s club scene, but also gave us a first glimpse of the classic Borg track top. We are of course talking about the Terrinda in the original white colourway. Also appearing in various other colourways, the film inspired a new generation of casual sportswear fans as well as the original wearers from the 1980s. Following the release of the The Firm, 80s Casual Classics worked exclusively with Fila to re-release the original Borg style which has remained one of our most popular, and most talked about styles, ever since. For November 2024 the Terrinda is back in Pro Badge form in the original white colourway with red piping as worn by Paul Anderson in the nightclub scene from The Firm.

The Fila Settanta Mk3, or Terrinda as it was more commonly known, marked one of the last 'BJ' styles the Swedish tennis great, Bjorn Borg, would wear throughout his highly successful but relatively short sporting career. By the time the Terrinda came on the scene in 1982, the White Line had already given us its fair share of flamboyant style driven sportswear. Designed by the legendary Fila designer, Pierluigi Rolando, the White Line caused a seismic shift in the tennis world. Following the legacy of the Settanta Mk1 from 1976 and the Settanta Mk2 from 1980, the Settanta Mk3 (Terrinda) took style driven sportswear to new levels with its biker jacket style collar, padded shoulder detail, white piping, Italian styling and luxurious velour fabric. The expensive price tag and colourful Italian styling made the Terrinda one of the most more desirable sportswear styles at the time.
