Netflix documentary about the Casual subculture, the chances are the classic cagoule from Patrick will always get a mention. As much as Stone Island & C.P. Company took over the outerwear on the terraces throughout the 90s, the 80s was all about the cagoule with the legendary football boots' brand championing the whole sporty anorak aesthetic. Up until it's revival release back in 2022, the Patrick Cagoule was probably one of the most talked about styles from our global customer base with an influx of requests to work with Patrick to re-release the classic outerwear style. Alongside the Settanta's & the Borg Elite's, the Patrick Cagoule remains one of out most sought after styles. For March 2025, Patrick revamp their classic cagoule with the introduction of the Lawson Overhead jacket, which as to be expected, packs all that classic 80s windbreaker style.

The cagoule, or windbreaker, as it also known was a key outerwear style for the young football Casuals. Some might claim the cagoule craze started in the North West of England, a region known for its almost Scandinavian like precipitation, with football fans from the likes of Tranmere & Liverpool. What better way to keep yourself dry on the terraces whilst also maintaining that sporty Casual look. The cagoule was the obvious choice for the young style driven Casual. With its 80s football connection courtesy of endorsement deals with Kevin Keegan & sportswear heritage, it's no surprising that the Patrick revival has gone down an absolute storm with our customers.
