Marching Powder: Behind The Scenes With Danny Dyer

Towards the end of 2023 we announced that the legendary British director, Nick Love, was teaming up once again with Danny Dyer with their latest film project Marching Powder.

Unlike some of the recent news in the British tabloids, Marching Powder which features Danny Dyer, is not connected to the original Football Factory film from 2004 but a completely different story. 20 years on from The Football Factory, Marching Powder will mark Danny Dyer's 5th film in the saddle with the London born director Nick Love. After working with Nick Love on various other projects such as The Firm from 2009 and more recently 'A Town Called Malice', we can now unveil our next "wardrobe" film project with Marching Powder. Our very own founder, Neil Primett, was recently snapped up on set with Danny Dyer himself wearing one of our exclusive Gabicci Vintage Macs with some claret (blood) on his boat (face). Dyer plays the lead role Jack, a middle-aged, drug-taking football hooligan, who is arrested and given six weeks to turn his life around, or else face a long spell in prison. Speaking about the film Danny Dyer said; 'I'm buzzing to be getting back on the horse with Nick, he's the only fucking idiot stupid enough. Marching Powder is class, we're back in the world of The Football Factory with more violence, more drugs and lots of fucking comedy, you're going to love it.' The Football Factory from 2004 followed a group of working classic hooligans affiliated with Chelsea's notorious 'Headhunters'. The cult classic glamorised early noughties lad culture with classic terrace clobber that changed the face of the UK's homegrown subculture overnight. It was the Football Factory that first introduced brands like Burberry, Henry Lloyd, Lacoste & Stone Island to a new Millennial generation with the next wave of terrace fashion that would revive a range of designer brands from the 1980s & 90s. In 2004 if you were just starting to get into football, clothes, clubbing & everything else that came with it, the chances are half the people you came across were either talking about the film or dressing like they were in it. It was as simple as that. Although Marching Powder is a brand new film with no connection to the original Football Factory, Marching Powder sees Dyer reprise his football hooligan role with Nick Love in the directors seat. Expect plenty of Love's tongue 'n' cheek cockney lines and classic clobber courtesy of 80s Casual Classics. Keep posted at 80s Casual Classics for further release info of the film.
