Top Boys, Track Tops & Terrinda's: Fila Bring Back The Classic French Blue Colourway
The Fila Terrinda Mk3 track top returns to its spiritual home in the iconic 'French Blue' colourway as worn by Paul Anderson in Nick Love's The Firm from 2009.
You've got to give the London born director, Nick Love, credit where it's due in terms of bringing the UK's homegrown subculture's to the big screen. Following on from the huge success of 'The Business' & 'The Football Factory', as well as lesser known little gems like 'Goodbye Charlie Bright', Love put his own "Casual Sportswear" spin on The Firm from 1989. Released 20 years later, Love's remake replaced the half-arsed wardrobe of the original film with the classic Italian sportswear actually worn by the Casuals during the 1980s. From classic deerstalkers to Snow Time line outerwear you probably last saw in '84 (if you were around then), the Firm was probably one of the biggest successes in film as far as product placement was concerned without even knowing it. With the help of 80s Casual Classics, The Firm showcased some of the most sought after sportswear of the era which allowed us to work with the likes of Fila, Sergio Tacchini & Ellesse to revive the original silhouettes from the film. One of them very special revival releases was the original Terrinda Mk3 from Fila as famously worn by Bex played by Paul Anderson in the iconic French blue colourway.

Following the legacy of the Settanta Mk1 from 1976 and the Settanta Mk2 from 1980, the Settanta Mk3 (Terrinda) took style driven sportswear to new levels with its biker jacket style collar, padded shoulder detail, white piping, Italian styling and luxurious velour fabric. The expensive price tag and colourful Italian styling made the Terrinda one of the most desirable sportswear styles at the time. Introduced at a pinnacle of casual fashion the Terrinda still remains one of our most sought after styles from the 80s era. Designed by the legendary Fila designer, Pierluigi Rolando, it was the original White Line that caused a seismic shift in the tennis world.
