New silhouettes from adidas such as the Edberg from 1986 & the Ivan Lendl Advantage from 1987 broke new barriers with state-of-the-art tennis biomechanics thanks to dual density midsoles & multi-purpose outsoles. It wasn't just the technology though, these silhouettes had a distinct aesthetic which can be easily placed for the era. Features included dense midsoles, perforations & distinct colourways such as all white with pops of collegiate green, royal blue & red.
