Get Your Summer Swagger on With The Sergio Tacchini New Young Line Sleeveless Zip

It's official holiday season is here which means its time to get your summer swagger on with the Sergio Tacchini New Young Line Sleeveless Zip which now arrives exclusively at 80s Casual Classics.

If there were two specific sportswear styles from the original 80s Casuals era that you had to pick as the pinnacle of style driven sportswear one would probably be the Terrinda from Fila with its biker style collar, the other would probably be the Sergio Tacchini Young Line track top. The sleeveless track top design put Tacchini at the very forefront of style driven sportswear and was endorsed by John McEnroe, the original rock 'n' roller of the tennis courts. A combination of McEnroe's bad boy facade which stuck two fingers up at the elite tennis world and Tacchini's fashionable tennis gear gave the Italian sportswear brand a "casual" appeal like nothing else. The good news is the celebrated sleeveless style now arrives just in time to get your summer swagger on with an exclusive 80s Casual Classics re-release of the OG track top. The origins of the New Young Line first started with the Young Line back in the early 80s. John McEnroe was even wearing the Young Line polo shirt during his famous centre court meltdown at Wimbledon in 1981 against Tom Gullikson as the umpire called his shot out. The New Young Line originated in 1984 and was famously seen on McEnroe at the French Open final in 1984 against Ivan Lendl. Funnily enough McEnroe was also wearing the New Young Line polo shirt during his outburst at the Stockholm Open in 1984. Originally available in polo shirt & track top form in Tacchini's signature sporty pastel colourways, the track top also featured removable zip sleeves which became a popular "casual" look of the early to mid 80s. The Sergio Tacchini New Young Line Sleeveless Zip now returns to its spiritual home for an exclusive re-release. The latest version sees the removal of the zip off sleeves for an updated fit whilst still maintaining the true OG aesthetic of the McEnroe track top style. Coming in a classic white/blue colourway that could have quite easily have featured in an original Tacchini advert from 1984, the sleeveless design features the signature block colour across the shoulders with embroidered ST branding to the left chest. Great for the summer months with a t-shirt, or just on its own, teamed up with a pair of classic tennis shorts the New Young Line will surely add some sporty swagger to your summer wardrobe.
