The Patrick Olivier polo shirt celebrates the kit worn by the allied prisoners football team in the classic war film from 1981, Escape to Victory.
Originally released back in 1981 Escape to Victory is one of them classic bank holiday war films you've probably seen a fair few times. Featuring the likes of Michael Caine, Pel_, Bobby Moore, Max von Sydow & a not so oiled up Sylvester Stallone, the plot focuses on two things, football & fleeing. A story of prisoners of war who agree to play an exhibition football match in the midst of concentration camp carnage and a plot to escape to victory, hence the title. Released in 1981, the classic war film is now brought back to life courtesy of our good friends at Patrick with the introduction of the Olivier Polo Shirt.

Founded in 1892 by Patrice Beneteau, Patrick has been worn by everyone from Tour De France winners to a range of football royalty such as Kevin Keegan & 3 time Ballon d'Or winner, Michel Platini. The passion for Patrick in the UK really exploded when Kevin Keegan came back to the 1st Division from Hamburg to join Southampton in 1980. It wasn't just Keegan's perm that was iconic, it was also his sponsorship deals. Like a lot of the other big Casual styles at the time they were performance driven & were available in traditional sportswear stores. Patrick became a fan favourite of the Casuals with notable styles such as the cagoule and a range of football inspired trainers becoming the must have styles of the 1980s.
