The Fila Vintage Vilas track top celebrates the original Vantaggio design from the late 1970s and now arrives in the classic blue colourway.
The White Line has always had some spiritual connection to the Casuals, and we're not talking about marching powder here. First introduced in 1973, the White Line collection merged premium Italian designer style with performance sportswear. Headed up by the legendary Italian designer Pierluigi Rolando the White Line gave us some of the most celebrated sportswear Fila has ever released. OG track top styles like the Fila Vilas or Vantaggio (Advantage) as it was also known put Fila on a completely different level when it came to sportswear in the 1970s. The Vilas track top was a key White Line style as famously worn by the Argentinean tennis legend, Guillermo Vilas, before he switched his allegiance to Ellesse in the early 1980s. The celebrated White Line style now returns to its spiritual home in the OG blue colourway.

Just like the majority of other White Line stuff from the 1970s & the 1980s it was all about the colourways. The Vantaggio was no different and came in various colourway versions. It was probably the red, navy & white version that was the most well known which probably had something to do with the fact Guillermo Vilas was wearing it when he lifted the Australian Open trophy in 1979, adding to his other 3 Grand Slam titles. First released in the late 1970s, the Vantaggio was text book White Line. Classic colour-blocking designs, 'Made in Italy' craftsmanship which also boasted the sought after 'Maglificio Biellese' (Biella Knitwear Factory) labelling to the inner collar. A jacket inspired collar added Rolando's style driven aesthetic with classic stripes throughout. There was literally nothing quite like it.

Previous revival releases of the classic White Line style did not include the original jacket inspired collar which features on this latest version. Featuring a textured polyester fabric for a more premium look, the Vilas boasts the original colour-blocking detailing of the late 70s track top. Other highlight include a full front zip closure with branded zip pull & a large Fila F box logo patch to the left chest.
