The Fila Uomo is An OG Ski Jacket From The Fila Archives
The Fila Uomo OG padded ski jacket recently featured in Nick Love's 'A Town Called Malice' and now arrives at its spiritual home for a very special archive release.
One of our most recent wardrobe projects saw us teaming up once again with Nick Love for 'A Town Called Malice', a Sky Original drama set in the early 80s on the 'Costa Del Crime' which premiered in early 2023. After reviving various OG styles that featured in the British crime series, there was one particular style that probably had the most requests from our global customer base. The classic Fila Uomo OG padded ski jacket in red, worn by Jack Rowen who played Gene Lord, was probably one of the most talked about styles from the show. An original ski jacket from the iconic Italian sportswear brand that couldn't scream 80s casuals more if it tried is now revived from the Fila archives for a very special 2024 re-release.

Following on from the success of the White Line, it was Pierluigi Rolando that also introduced the Fila Snow Time line in the late 1970s. Part of Fila's celebrated ski heritage, the Snow Time line went with the same ethos as the White Line, except instead of tennis gear it was strictly ski-wear. Ski-wear that boasted Rolando's style driven stamp across a range of jackets, ski-suits & knitwear. Just like the White Line, the Casuals were all over the Snow Time stuff. Taking elements from Fila's tennis gear and ski-wear line, the Casuals put their own spin on the Italian sportswear brand. Roll necks, tennis track tops & polo shirts, ski jumpers and ski jackets became part of the dressers' uniform teamed up with adidas trainers, Lois cords and wedge haircuts. The 'Made in Italy' Snow Time range was a massive hit, with classic ski jackets like the Uomo with its signature stripes and inner drawstring for the ultimate in casual 80s ski-wear.

Fans of the classic 'F' logo brand are now treated to a very special archive release of the Uomo jacket, an OG padded ski silhouette from the 1980s. Featuring a nylon shell in the signature bold red colourway with a stand up zip collar and the iconic stripes of the Uomo. Other highlights include Fila F branding to the left chest, front flap pockets and an adjustable drawstring hem just like the original 80s ski style.
