The Fila Tennis 88 trainer is an archive inspired silhouette from the Biella born sportswear brand that now arrives as part of Fila's premium Gold label.
Originally endorsed by Tamer Hassan & Danny Dyer on the back of the release of The Business from 2005, the Gold Label marked the next chapter for Fila Vintage. Original garments from the sublabel included premium merino wool cardigans & Harrington jackets with the signature F branding ditching the traditional red, blue & white associated with B-Boys & Borg for gold & black. After a brief hiatus, and with the help of 80s Casual Classics, the Gold Label was re-released earlier in the year with a collection of archive inspired pieces, smarter Fila fits & monogram prints. The Fila Gold Label now returns for a very special footwear release with the introduction of the Fila Tennis 88 Gold Label trainer which now arrives at 80s Casual Classics.

Following on the success of their highly celebrated White Line collection, Fila's eagerly anticipated tennis trainer line first hit the sportswear stores back in 1986. Featuring state of the art trainer technology like dual density carbon outsoles for superior on court grip & a lightweight design for support & stability. With full grain leather uppers in typical 80s fitness shoe style, Fila's tennis trainers also featured perforations to the sidewall and toe vamp for extra breathability for the wearer. Further cushioning was added courtesy of an EVA midsole. Released earlier in the year the Tennis 88 trainer draws inspiration from the original tennis silhouettes from the 1980s from the Biella born sportswear brand.
