Diadora & 80s Casual Classics Give The Titan Trainer A Very Special Borg Elite Makeover

Following on from the huge success of our other exclusive colourways of the classic Diadora runner, the Titan trainer is now treated to a very special Borg Elite inspired colourway courtesy of 80s Casual Classics.
As any OG trainer fan will already know, there's usually a signature colourway associated with most styles & silhouettes. Take for example the PUMA Bluebird trainer which boasts its unmistakable blue & yellow hues as well as the "all white" leather styles associated with Reebok. Not many trainers could probably pull off a gold & white colourway combo quite like the Diadora Borg Elite did. The signature colourway became one of the most sought after trainers of the era thanks to its endorsement with the top seeded, White Line wearing Sweed, Bjorn Borg. Just like in ancient Roman times where wearing gold was a symbol of wealth, the Borg Elite's elitist European appeal & premium price tag gave it a unique allure like nothing before it. Arguably one of the most recognisable "casual" colourways of all time, the signature gold & white of the Borg Elite is now re-imagined on the Diadora Titan trainer which continues the legacy of the original Seb Co silhouette for a very special 80s Casual Classics exclusive release.
First introduced in 1984, the Diadora Seb Co trainer was famously worn by the king of middle distance running at the time, Seb Coe. Coe boasted numerous records on the track as well as gold medals in the 1500m in both the 1980 & 1984 Olympics. Coe would later go into politics leaving a lasting legacy on the running trainer world. With the rise of the running trainer of the 1980s many Casuals made the switch from the traditional gum soled court shoes. The Borg Elite had already captured the hearts of many young Casuals and when the Diadora Seb Co came a long a few years later it was an instant hit.
