The Diadora Cross Trainer is The Ultimate 70s Runner
Share
As much as we could talk all day about the latest sole technology and running trainer innovation, there's still something pretty special about OG classics like the Diadora Cross trainer.
Thanks to the running boom of the 1970s the big sportswear brands went all in with a new breed of running trainer. Looking back now it's fairly easy to tell the difference between a running silhouette from the 1970s compared to say the 1990s. Relatively simplistic compared to the sole technology that would come further down the line in the mid 80s, the running trainer designs of the 1970s have a unique aesthetic. Worn in the modern era for strictly "everyday" wear, OG classics like the Diadora Cross trainer not only perfectly capture the whole classic 70s running style, but look just as good today as they did back in 1976. Now introduced in an updated version of the OG 70s runner, the Diadora Cross trainer arrives back at its spiritual home.
