The Diadora Camaro M2 is a Retro Running Trainer From 1985

As much as Diadora might have dominated on centre court courtesy of a certain Swedish tennis star in the late 1970s & early 1980s, their dominance on the tracks was just as big with OG runners like the Camaro M2.
As the likes of PUMA & adidas looked to "one up" each other regardless of the sport (or the costs involved), Diadora also got in on the action in the race of sportswear supremacy sponsoring the likes of Seb Coe, who you might have heard is set to lead the whole re-generation of Old Trafford. Circus stadiums aside, Diadora's dominance on the tracks didn't just stop at the middle distance runner, they also had Olympic gold hurdler Edwin Moses on team Diadora throughout the golden era of athlete endorsements. It was these sponsorship deals that put Diadora on the global Olympic stage without a single tennis racket in sight. OG styles like the Diadora Camaro M2 trainer not only followed in the footsteps of some of the greatest retro runners from the Italian sportswear brand, but also set the bar as far as running trainer innovation was concerned at the time.

Continuing the Italian sportswear brands running legacy into the mid 1980s, the Camaro is a retro running trainer from Diadora's 1985 sports catalogue. Designed as an all purpose runner for various distances & terrain, the Camaro quickly became a runners favourite for its all round comfort & revolutionary sole technology courtesy of the shock absorbent EVA midsole. Research & developed by Diadora's top designers of the 1980s, the Camaro looked to cater solely for runner's needs, however its sporty looks & pioneering design made the Camaro just as popular for everyday wear.

We've now introduced some updated colourways of the classic runner which gives a nod to the original archive silhouette from 1985. Revived from the Diadora archives with a mixture of nylon mesh and suede uppers for the classic 80s runner style. Other highlights include added perforations to the front mudguard with Diadora branding to the sidewalls, heel tab & tongue. Finished off with a padded ankle collar & EVA midsole for all day comfort, the Camaro M2 looks just as good today as it did back in the mid 1980s.
