The legendary Liverpudlian, Stephen Graham, gets beefed up for his next role in the boxing ring for 'A Thousand Blows' which releases in February 2025.

As far as acting goes there's not much Stephen Graham hasn't already covered over the last 25 years. Playing everything from a New Jersey mob boss in Martin Scorsese's The Irishman, a cocaine fuelled Michelin star chef in Boiling Point, a psychotic skin head in This is England and a corrupted prison guard in Time. Alongside fronting recent campaigns for adidas Spezial with the likes of Goldie, Graham's next big role sees the legendary Liverpudlian beef up for the boxing ring. After a brutal workout regime of ice baths & 5 meals a day, Stephen Graham put on some serious mass for the forthcoming series as he slipped into his role as an East End boxer in Victorian Britain. From the creators of Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows, is inspired by true stories and takes us directly into the heart of London's sinister boxing scene of the late 1800's. Hezekiah Moscow (Kirby) and Alec Munroe (Francis Lovehall), best friends from Jamaica, find themselves thrust into the criminal underbelly of London's thriving bare-knuckle boxing scene. As Hezekiah finds fortune and fame through the art of pugilism, he attracts the attention of the infamous Queen of the Forty Elephants, Mary Carr (Doherty), who sets about exploiting his talents to further her criminal enterprise. Meanwhile the menacing and self-declared emperor of the East End boxing world, Sugar Goodson (Graham), determines to destroy Hezekiah whose ambitions to fight in the West End threaten everything he has built. What ensues is a battle of the old world against the new. A Thousand Blows launches on Disney+ on 21st February 2025.
