Originally founded by John Barbour, it was actually John's grandson who developed the brand's signature waxed cotton fabric for motorcycle uniforms. The durable waxed cotton fabric was robust and water repellent making it ideal for speedy road use. The British brand really made its mark among the dressers of the world on the terraces throughout the 80s & 90s. Featuring a waterproof & breathable membrane, the military inspired style also boasts the latest Barbourtech fabrics. Barbour International celebrates the British brands' rich motorcycle heritage of the last 100 years. The stand alone brand takes it name from the Barbour International wax cotton motorcycle suit which was first introduced for the 1936 International Six Day Trials. The Swift Knit features shiny polyester trims to the hood and sleeve for that ultimate casual style alongside a Barbour International rubberised patch.
