This latest season sees the West Midlands born designer brand get technical with the introduction of the Luke 1977 Vietnam jacket.

You might remember when the British born designer brand Luke 1977 first burst on the designer menswear scene around 2008. It was proper "laddy" stuff with their famous Lion logo quickly taking over the bars, the pubs and the clubs of the era. Casual shirting, polo shirts & one of a kind outerwear was what really put Luke on the menswear map with its roots firmly grounded in the UK's working class lad culture of the late noughties. Although it might feel like only yesterday to those of us now in our 30s & 40s, since the noughties Luke 1977 has really cemented itself as one of the leading designer menswear brands to come out of these fine British lands. Founded by the British designer Luke Roper in the West Midland back in 2002, Luke 1977 has become fan favourite among the UK's style driven dressers. The brand was the official kit sponsor of Aston Villa for the 2018-2019 season with the now treble winning, headband wearing midfield maestro, Jack Grealish, wearing the kit at the time. Previously worn by everyone from The Artic Monkeys to the Kaiser Chiefs, Luke also featured on Danny Dyer & Stephen Graham in the zombie comedy film 'Doghouse' from 2009. You've probably also seen the Sky TV pundit & commentator, Dion Dublin, sporting a bit of the Lion logo on the TV, regularly showing his affinity for the Midlands born designer brand. A lightweight, military inspired silhouette that is constructed from a high-density iridescent Nylon fabric. Drawing inspiration from tactical military garb, the Vietnam jacket is strictly geared up for matchdays, although you can wear it for other occasions. Highlights include a twin tactical pocket to the right sleeve, a chest pocket with the famous Luke lion branding & a vertical zip check pocket.
