Retro Runners & Classic Court Trainers From Lacoste
The Lacoste Partner trainer is just one of the many Lacoste footwear styles to arrive at 80s Casual Classics for the latest season.
Ever since René Lacoste introduced the first polo shirt with an embroidered crocodile on it in 1933, the French sportswear brand has become a timeless sportswear style icon. The original casuals of the late 70s and early 80s even stitched fake crocodiles onto their polo shirts. A testament to how desirable it was to be kitted out in the famous ‘green croc’ logo and a heritage which continues to this day. Over the last few decades however, the label has grown into so much more than just a tennis polo shirt brand, kitting out top seeded tennis players such as Novak Djokovic as well as introducing seasoned collections across apparel, accessories and footwear. The casual connection still remains with a sportswear salute that will never go away as long as there are green crocodiles! We have now introduced styles like the Lacoste Partners trainer, among others, as part of the latest collection of Lacoste footwear to now arrive at 80s Casual Classics.

The Lacoste Partner trainer draws inspiration from retro running trainers from the 70s and 80s for an updated crocodile spin on the classic running shoe. Perfect for trainer lovers and Lacoste fans, the Partner silhouette also includes a very special logo to the tongue from the Lacoste sportswear archives. In true OG runner style the trainer also features a mixture of textile and suede uppers with a grippy tread rubber outsole and original crocodile branding to the sides.

The Lacoste Chaymon trainer is a slimline casual style crafted from premium Nappa leather uppers for an uber minimalist finish. Other highlights include leather overlays and a metallic crocodile logo as oppose to the traditional green embroidered one. A Herringbone inspired stripe is stitched to the sides, also in white, keeping in line with the Chaymon’s minimalist aesthetic. The casual trainer also features OrthoLite sole technology to the insole for all day comfort and breathability.
