The Most Casual of Checks: Aquascutum Club Check Caps & Bucket Hats
The Aquascutum Club Check Cap has remained a matchday mainstay since the early noughties and now arrives at 80s Casual Classics in an updated Hydro fabric.

Founded back in 1851 by John Emary on London's prestigious Regent Street, it was Aquascutum that introduced the first waterproof wool fabric for outerwear. Aquascutum might sound like some sort of fancy Victorian name but it's actually the Latin for 'watershield'. Long before the days of GORE-TEX & garment technology from the 1980s from the likes of Massimo Osti, Aquascutum were already setting the bar for fabric innovation 130 years earlier.
