Impact Control: The Diadora Titan Trainer Returns
The Diadora Titan trainer first surfaced on the sneaker world all the way back in 2013 and has since become a bit of an “Azzurri” staple.
Coming off the back of the retro runners’ revival of the twenty-tens, the Titan trainer captured all of the Italian sportswear brands’ running nostalgia of the 1980s & 1990s. From past collaborations with the likes of NYC’s Extra Butter to exclusive colourways such as ‘Ocean Depths’ & ‘Chilli Pepper’, the Titan trainer captured the hearts of modern day sneaker fans as well as the original retro wearers from decades ago. The Titans retro charm & Impact Control sole technology now returns to its spiritual home in some updated colourways for the latest season.

It was the early 80s where Diadora really showed the world what they were all about with the Borg Elite trainer in 1981. The Diadora Borg Elite trainer was lightyears ahead of its competition & if you were a young Casual kid at the time you wanted a pair more than anything else, it was as simple as that. Considered by many as the holy grail of the original Casual style, the Borg Elite only added further fire power to the brands’ elitist appeal. The expertise craftsmanship, the Kangaroo leather, the made in Italy badge and the expensive price tag put the Borg Elite on a whole new level as far as tennis trainers were concerned.

However, Diadora weren’t just a tennis trainer brand. The 1980s also saw them develop some of the greatest running shoes of all time which would lead to the introduction of the N series throughout the early 90s. Following on from the success on the tennis courts, Diadora diversified into the world of running trainers in search of the ever growing 80s fitness boom. The Titan trainer captured all the running nostalgia from the Italian sportswear brand drawing inspiration from the running archives and elite athletes from the 1980s. The good news is the Titan now returns to its spiritual home for the latest season.
